Methodology

The methodology used is ISO 9001 certified and innovative, combining distance learning with attendance in seminars. This method has been successfully used for the past seven academic years and guarantees high standards of didactic flexibility and a significant degree of student interactivity.
The course is offered online. It includes interactive lessons, guided workshops, virtual classroom exercises, student and teacher chat rooms and discussion forums. Each module includes one meeting where attendance is required, while the final stage of the master's involves project work and, optionally, an internship in a cultural sector enterprise.

The e-learning Masters is unique.
It involves:
1) decentralised learning
2) students can be followed up by people in full-time jobs,
3) reduced participation costs (no travel expenses).

Distance learning allows participants to exercise control of learning processes through exchange and discussion with others. Distance learning allows for communication and interaction through personalised instruments, in accordance with student experiences and aptitudes. The course is structured in such as way that student’s learning processes are given constant support, which includes assistance and tuition.

75% of the Master’s is online and is open to anyone from anywhere in the world, all you need is a dial-up connection. A brief full-immersion course in Rome completes the course, which includes class work and tests.

Class work activities:

  • Key lessons on heritage management planning and strategies for the development of cultural services, including simulations, case studies and practical lessons;

  • Testing is used to consolidate content knowledge, verify the application of the skills acquired in different operational contexts, and assess results.
